12 months before Lady Sarah Consuelo Spencer Churchill died , she made a trip to Hydra Island, Greece to visit her old friend Michel Le Goff. Sarah was Godmother to Michel's first son Alexander Le Goff (b. 1975). Despite having bad knees and needing the assistance of a walking stick, and despite her fading eyesight, after a long hearty lunch in the fishing village of Kamini she insisted on walking the long winding path back to Hydra harbour, joking all the way. Michel has posted these photos of that happy visit for those who remember Sarah with love.
 
 

Sarah made friends with Michel's three year old son Hadrian and shared a chocolate ice cream with him. He was fascinated by her strings of pearls.	Sarah was a great raconteur. Here she is telling one of her stories to Raichel, Michel's wife.
